Hyde Park Economy

I stayed here for a few nights in February. I have to say it's one of the worst places I've had the "pleasure" of staying in recently. The communal areas are rather dingy and there were around 60 steps up to my room - no lift available. The room itself I think had been fairly recently renovated with a nice little kitchenette and bathroom, but very few utensils etc in the kitchen. I think I warmed up some beans in a frying pan. The toilet was very heavily stained to the point where I bought a bottle of bleach to clean it with, and there were stains around the base of the bed. Walls were paper thin and I didn't need to hear the headboards banging in the night from other rooms. Also there is no reception in the building, and you have to collect and return the keys to another hotel a couple of hundred yards up the road, again not ideal. I wouldn't stay again.

We were booked to stay here for 3 nights- feb 16-19th. Totally and completely disgusting accommodation. Entranceway is filthy, grimy,dark. Apartments are worse- blood splatters on the radiator, mould all over the bathroom door and ceiling. Nothing like the pictures shown when booking.

The room was clean, the bathroom was very nice and very clean. It had good facilities, it was quiet and comfortable. The bed wasn’t particularly comfort, but for the money it was very good value. I would definitely stay there again.
