Travelodge London Stratford

Room was ok, what you would expect from a Travelodge. The mattress was really stained and dirty which was pretty disgusting. Good bacon and sausages at breakfast but wasn’t very hot and no other choice on eggs other than scrambled. The two ladies working in the breakfast room stood talking for the majority of the time we were having our breakfast. Other people who came in after us had to ask if there was any more food being brought out.

The only positive to this stay was how close it was to the venue we were attending. The room had no where to put clothes that couldn't be hung up, we stayed for 3 nights living out of our bags. The room was hot, no air con, just a fan that couldn't blow a feather. The shower was dripping constantly. We had our towels, coffee and sugar topped up, but we never had clean mugs, we had to rinse them in the bathroom. We never had breakfast as we didn't want to pay 11.99 for a bowl of cereal and a coffee. Doubling the price of a stay because of a concert taking place is disgusting and having to pay for wi-fi on top of that seems almost criminal, especially when it didn't work on one of our phones. There were many unhappy guests during our stay which wasn't surprising. We will not be staying at a travelodge again. To end on a good note, Carol who was working the breakfast service on the Sunday morning was absolutely lovely and was trying so hard to make everyone happy. And Tonys shop over the road was a godsend for our breakfasts, snacks and decent coffee sachets.
