Park Grand London Kensington

We stayed in a “Renovated Cura Queen” room for 4 nights, and here are our impressions: 1. Great location: Situated on a quiet street, just a 5-minute walk to the Earls Court Tube station, which serves the District and Piccadilly lines (providing direct lines to Heathrow, the City Centre, and the Tower). 2. Rooms: On the smallish side, but recently renovated and well-organized. 3. Noise levels: I cannot recommend this hotel for a light sleeper. While the walls are quite thick and very little noise comes from the next-door rooms and from the street, the doors are very thin. The sound of every door being opened or closed, as well as any hallway conversation, can be heard clearly in the room. 4. Hotel personnel: We had mixed feelings here. o The person (or persons) who replied to my messages regarding room allocation on the morning of our arrival left a very bad impression. They replied with mostly irrelevant, cookie-cutter responses that clearly indicated they hadn't bothered to understand what I was asking. o On the other hand, the receptionist, Rencila (my apologies if I misspelled the name), was great. I had several requests regarding the room that were important to me, and she immediately understood them and found an appropriate room for us. o The doorman (whose name I don't know) was also great and always offered his help. 5. Breakfast: A typical Marriott breakfast—satisfactory, but nothing to write home about.

Can’t give the hotel and staff enough praise for how well run it is. Would stay there every visit I have. It’s perfect Cheers Jo Arnold

Nice hotel at a reasonable price(for London), about a half block from Earls Court station.
