Crowne Plaza Kensington

We very much enjoyed our stay at the DoubleTree Kensington. The hotel is centrally located, making it an excellent base for exploring the area, and the breakfast each morning was absolutely amazing. A special thank you to Larissa, who served us during both of our stays. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine care made each morning a pleasure. In fact, one of the reasons we chose to return for a second year was because we remembered her wonderful spirit and the exceptional service she provided during our previous visit. Larissa consistently goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, and she is a true asset to the hotel. Thank you for helping make our stay so memorable.

It’s a great location for the tube. Central Kensington, close to Gloucester Road tube station. The Hotel is hectic, check in wasn’t at all smooth, rushed and lacking the personal touch. The rooms aren’t good value for money. The deluxe double with garden view was poor quality, chipped bathroom sinks and unit, poor drainage. Wonky items, mirror and toilet roll holder. Breakfast was chaotic with lots of people, uncontrolled children running wild. I paid nearly £400 a night, it’s certainly not worth that. I’m unsure what the hotel is trying to be - with meeting rooms and random events running from the lower ground. The staff we encountered were excellent. The hotel left me feeling very underwhelmed. I won’t return.
