Hyde Park Economy Apartments

TERRIBLE!! Stayed here for two nights on the 2nd of August 2022. Fantastic reviews and picture perfect rooms only online….in reality it was a horror story. The foyer was all super bright and cool with air conditioning. As we got to our room through endless long narrow corridors it got hotter and hotter. Opened the door to our bedroom to be blasted with hot air, which felt like an oven with no air conditioning or fan on the hottest day! Couldn’t open windows (as people from across the road could see everything clearly) as only blackout blinds which stopped airflow. Asked for a fan and was told non available. I’m surprised that this place is even legal to operate as a hotel! I spoke to several other guests who were fuming about the condition of their rooms. One lady said her husband had to fight with the staff to get a fan which didn’t work and was given another! • No air conditioning or fan on the hottest week on record. •No space to put your luggage or even a small table to put your belongings. • The only plug point was at the end of the bed and no lights by the bed! (Had to use our phone lights) • The heat was unbearable and didn’t/couldn’t sleep at all. And had an interview the next day! •Fridge didn’t work properly and had to throw milk out. •There was a mouse trap in the room which was telling! •Bed was broken and my husband who’s 6’5” had to squeeze next to the wall (bed was against the wall for lack of space.) • Couldn’t open windows or blinds for lack of privacy (could do with a thin privacy, sheer curtain/blind so that we could at least put the blackout blinds up) • If I had known what we were really in for, I would’ve paid extra (cost £120 per night) and gone else where. • The glossy pics and reviews certainly didn’t match what was actually delivered. • We did book into the PREMIER INN AT WESTMINSTER and had a fabulous stay with far better fantastic room, wonderful service, endless free hot beverages at the attached restaurant, friendly staff and close to all amenities. (London Eye, City Cruise etc). 1 picture Tiny room with bed right next to the bathroom 2nd pic only plug point by bed is end of the bed and no space for luggage (table) 3rd pic mouse trap under sink 4 rd tiny shower/loo with hardly any space. 5th. Kitchen area with non functional fridge 6th pic The window with no privacy whilst in the room if the blackout blind was up which made the room hotter and dark! Couldn’t leave the blind open for lack of security at night too!

We are currently staying at the Hyde Parke Suites for a couple of nights while enjoying a stay in London. Would highly recommend......VERY clean, apartment has double bed, 3 singles, equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower. Really close to Queensway tube station. Staff friendly and helpful.

Nicely situated only a few minutes walk from Hyde Park and Bayswater Underground stop. Small, modern flat with kitchen, good close spacer and small bathroom with shower. Only a few minutes walk from shops, bars, bus stop. You collect the key down the street, and walk 2 minutes to the building where the flats are. May experience some traffic noice, and there was a draft from the windows in our flat, otherwise good. The beds are vert good.
