Tophams Hotel Belgravia

The location is good. We chose to stay here as our son was running in the London Marathon and it was close to the finish. It was also close to tube stations and parks. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and there was sufficient choices for both meat eaters and vegetarians. A lovely touch were the cakes on offer by the Reception and they were delicious. A downside was the shower which kept changing temperature from normal to cold and very hot.

Small hotel tiny bed and bedroom 2stars ??? Clean tidy , reception friendly. Lift not working half our stay. Ok when we left. Breakfast room very tight tables crammed in. No eggs , waiting for delivery but no sorry !!! Continental buffet limited and staff not very happy. I’d look elsewhere next time and if you do go book room only and eat out where you get service and what you want. ( oh coffee was good ).

The hotel is extremely dark,and accessibility to rooms difficult if the lift is not working, I feel we didn't get the room we booked. Breakfast is ample the staff quite surly,nicely positioned to see London
