Travelodge Luton

I recently stayed at the Travelodge Luton Dunstable Road and, unfortunately, had to cut my stay short because the room became unbearably hot. I fully understood before booking that the hotel doesn’t have air conditioning, and I don’t blame the staff, who were friendly, polite and did their best to help. They provided a fan and even allowed us to check in early, which was greatly appreciated after a very early start and a tiring journey. However, despite the fan running constantly, the window being open and the curtains remaining closed, the room stayed extremely hot throughout the day. It was impossible to get comfortable or sleep, despite us being completely exhausted from our early start. We eventually decided to leave later on the day we checked in because we simply couldn’t face spending another minute in those conditions. The staff deserve credit for their excellent customer service, but the lack of adequate cooling in the rooms seriously affected our stay. I hope Travelodge considers ways to improve this for guests during warmer weather.

The upper floor corridors and rooms were unbearably hot, only a small desk fan was provided in the rooms which did nothing at all to remove the heat. There was no air flow at all, which made it impossible to feel comfortable any time we were in our rooms. We had to leave at around half 2 in the morning as we couldn't stand the heat, they need to invest in some aircon units otherwise I would recommend not staying in this location (Luton, Dunstable Road) during warmer months. I have never experienced this in any other Travelodge locations I have previously stayed in.

Been there recently for two nights with work as the price is reasonable. There is no air conditioning in the room just restaurant and reception area so was a bit hot as everywhere in UK this time of the year but the fan in the room help a bit and the team there very helpful.Breakfast was really nice and pleasant atmosphere in the bar area. I requested a room at the back because it’s quieter.Great customer service from all the team and clean room.
