Booked Old Ship as we were going to the Hackney Empire for a concert. What a fab place! A two minute walk from the Empire, cosy rooms fully equipped, fabulous dinner in the pub restaurant downstairs…. Situated in a quiet lane off the high road so really peaceful. But BEST of all were the staff- really welcoming and lovely. I (stupidly) left my Kindle there and they sent it straight back- no problem. Would definitely recommend this little pearl of a place x

Bit of a gem. Comfortable room located in central Hackney, a short walk from train connections and shops on your doorstep, as well as Hackney Empire. Cheaper than nearby Travelodge and Prem Inn and nicer! Friendly welcome (go in via the bar) and all you need for a central London stay: comfortable bed, kettle with tea / coffee, clean bathroom with products and wifi. TV in room, though didn't use it. Pret round the corner for easy breakfast. Also, 20% off at the bar when you stay.
