The hotel is well placed, has great facilities and the free breakfast is a great bonus. The reception and breakfast staff were fabulous hence the 3 stars.
I was always able to park outside and therefore booked on come and go pre-booking after the first night through the 'Your Parking Space' App at £35 for 2 nights.
The rooms have comfortable beds, great toiletries and a working TV with accessible HDMI ports to use for additional connectivity. A few extra sockets around the desk would be great as I had to unplug the desk fan to charge my laptop when working as the TV and my cool box (a lifesaver, see below) were using the other plugs.
However, with temperatures soaring to 35C (July 2026) and the air con out of order until November it just wasn't pleasant. A desk fan was provided and mentioned in the email I saw the day before I travelled, I packed my plug-in cool-box to keep drinks cold, I packed an extra foldaway fan plus a good handheld one too and hoped for the best as it was too late to change and had been booked by work anyway. But with 3 fans and the most severe heatwave in recent history it didn't improve things.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't sleep, exhaustion rather then comfort. I even chose to stay in the room when the Air Conditioned bar was cooler for watching the World Cup simply because I was exhausted by the heat and needed sleep.
My company paid a lot of money (Over £600) for me to stay at this hotel for 3 nights on the promise I was well rested and looked after and able to carry out my duties. Sadly they didn't get what they paid for and I didn't enjoy the stay.
I would love to return once the Air Conditioning is fixed in November or simply when temperatures make it less essential. It wasn't a disaster, but it wasn't enjoyable either and for a business visit it didn't deliver what my employer would require.

Booked this Hotel because it was convenient & it had Air Conditioning only to be told on arrival that the Air Conditioning wasn’t working & it hadn’t been working since April & if we wanted to cancel then we could, which we did with the receptionist only to find out later that week that we’ve been charged for the room that we didn’t stay in & to be told Hotels.Com - who we booked through - that because we didn’t cancel 48 hours before our stay that we weren’t eligible for a refund when we were told by the receptionist that no charges would be made to our card.

Very disappointed to find during one of the hottest heat waves in UK history, the hotel aircon was not working.
I understand faults can happen, however this was a known problem by the hotel when I booked the room in the morning.
I would expect an alert on the website or a follow up email from the hotel to advice this.
My stay was beyond awful, I really think I should have been given the opportunity to cancel and find alternative accommodation.
Aside from that, the room was clean and I would expect comfortable given I could really rate that aspect.
Staff were all very, very polite, friendly and helpful.
