Cathedral View B&B

Due to mis-communication I arrived at 9 pm to find I couldn't access the room until I paid a deposit for damage etc. With just a phone on me I tried to pay this but was not successful. There was no one there to assist. There was no answer from the contact number therefore I was sitting in the lobby at 9 pm after a long journey with no where to go. I am 64 years old as Nd on a wet Friday night I could hear the sound of drunken shouting outside and did not know where I was as I arrived by taxi. I have anxiety and was in a complete panic as no one would answer my call. I therefore called a taxi to get me to another hotel. The owners of the property have lied about the situation and I have lost the sum of £240. I came for my granddaughter's 1st birthday and I have lost the equivalent of a whole week's pay.

Arrived (early) on a Saturday and Gerry kindly let us into room as it was already prepared for us. Got some good advice on where to go in order to get our directions, then headed into town. Very comfortable, and spacious, bedroom with a double bed for me and a single for my daughter. Ordered breakfast for the Sunday morning when we arrived, would definitely recommend the full Irish! Cereals and toast, juice aplenty too. Daughter recommends the hot chocolate! Special thanks also to Katie who very kindly drove us on the Sunday morning to see a couple of local sites we wouldn't have otherwise seen. Definitely recommend, great hospitality and location in a brilliant place to visit!

Have stayed here on numerous occasions and service is top class. Gerry is a gentleman who really cares about his clients and client satisfaction and safety is more important to him than profit. I would recommend this to anyone looking at going to Derry or surrounding area. Gerry is very flexible with check in/check out times as well and goes out of his way to satisfy customers. Excellent service.
