Everglades Hotel

I had a fantastic stay at the Everglades Hotel in Derry. The room was lovely, very spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the beds were super comfy. The hotel itself is beautiful and has a really luxurious feel throughout. Every member of staff was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. A special mention goes to the manager who was on duty on Tuesday night (28th). He was incredibly friendly, approachable, and had a great sense of humour while remaining professional at all times. Even though the bar had already closed, when we came back from a night out he kindly got me a jug of blackcurrant juice, which was a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. When we were leaving the next day, he also took the time to come over and speak to us before his shift started, which really showed how much he cared about the guests and their experience. The location is great too – it’s only about a 2-minute drive from the city centre, and a taxi was only around £4, making it really convenient. Overall, I couldn’t fault my stay. I would definitely recommend the Everglades Hotel to anyone visiting Derry and would happily stay there again.

Warm and welcoming hotel. Sam the manager is fun and has an eye for detail. Girls at reception cheerful. Eimear great. Raymond the chef goes the extra mile. Finn looks after everyone so well we say the service is ‘Finntastic!’ Eamonn great at the piano! Thank you Everglades!

Food good but unfortunately poor service in restaurant. No local tourist information in room or hotel anywhere. Maintenance required in bathroom to eradicate black mould in bath/shower area. Public areas excellent. Overcharged for meal when checking out until challenged. I would not class this as a 4 star hotel.
