Groarty House/Manor

Booked a campervan space as the website said "pitches with spotless shower facilities" which was just what we were after. We paid our money then decided to take a shower, the toilet and shower were in a farm outbuilding, the floor outside was covered with debris from trees etc and had not been swept for weeks. I don't mind dated, that's fine, even in an outbuilding is fine, but these facilities were just dirty and inadequate. I went to ask for my money back to be met by possibly the owners son? Who then said "good luck finding somewhere else to stay" what an attitude! There's not much choice in Derry but that's no excuse to have such a bad attitude. I just hope the b&b side is run better! They should knock the campervan/camping on the head as the facilities and attitude they offer stinks.

Pretty much the only opportunity for an overnight stay for campervans if you want to stay somewhat close to Derry city centre. In this respect, it's good enough. Electricity is provided as well as wifi. Toilet & shower are a bit run-down, but functional. Owners are very friendly and accomodating. The area is very quiet and the city centre is just a 5-10 minute taxi ride away.

Stayed here for two nights. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was the full Irish fry and was delicious. It was easy to find, just outside of the city
