Mitre Hotel Manchester

Room was not as described, very run down , safety issues , the inky good thing was the bar/food downstairs and the location

Had a brilliant time here. I stayed in 2 different rooms as I made 2 separate bookings. Both rooms were more than adequate for what I needed. Kettle in the room with free tea and coffee. Ironing board and iron if needed. Fan in the room. And TV also. I didn't have the breakfast as I don't eat first thing in the morning. Easy enough to find on Google maps if you're not familiar with manchester. I git off at Piccadilly but Victoria is closer. It's location is excellent, it's smack bang central. It's right by the entrance to the arndale. The drunks in the bar are good and well priced. Bar staff and hotel staff were all lovely. Cleaning staff come in daily. Overall I great stay.

The central location is about the only good thing of this hotel. The staff and breakfast were ok, but the hotel itself is awful. The stairs and bannisters are filthy and sticky, the rooms have peeling paint, the window doesn’t shut properly so you can still hear noise, no hot water, dirty bathroom floor, carpet, bed cover and shelves. Never again.
