New Union

Extreamly loud from the club. It says on Booking that there is a lively place here, but we couldn't get any sleep until the music ended and people stopped running around and opening the door to the club right under us at 6 am - not even after that because of people watching series loud in the rooms next door with poor isolation and then cleaners knocking. Room itself is quite clean. Bed was sunken. Bathroom dore did not only not lock but also not close.

The new Union isn’t just a pub — it’s a glorious little escape hatch from real life. Walk in and you’re instantly adopted by a gang of loveable rogues behind the bar; they’re cheeky, charming, and treat you like family (the fun kind, not the awkward holiday-dinner kind). Service? Sharp, fast, and full of banter. Atmosphere? Way beyond expectations — warm, buzzy, and just the right amount of mischief. It’s the sort of place where you come for “just one drink” and end up laughing with strangers, swapping stories, and maybe flirting with the bartender (they’ll flirt back — careful, they’re good at it). The world melts away for a while, your hair comes down (if you’ve still got any), and suddenly you’re part of something special. Perfect for a night out, a casual catch-up, or simply meeting brilliant, hilarious people. The Union doesn’t just pour drinks; it serves up good vibes, big laughs, and that “ahh, I’m exactly where I want to be” feeling. Once you’ve been, you’ll keep coming back… partly for the pints, mostly for the people.

Great stay here last weekend, I can't understand people who mention noise this is on canal street and there's obviously going to be some however I was in bed by 1am and slept through so It wasn't an issue at all to me! Great hospitality and Great location many thanks
