Best Western Lancashire Manor

We stayed 2 nights to attend a family wedding. We booked our extra night separately last minute so did have to change rooms, but the reception staff held our luggage and did their best to have our second room ready much earlier than usual check in time. This set the bar really for one of the best weekends we have had in a very long time!. Every single member of staff we interacted with was happy, well trained and eager to be helpful. Becky who ran out cousins wedding (also called Becky! ) was amazing. She made sure everyone was looked after from the second they arrived. The rooms were lovely, beds big and comfortable, the food was great (both the wedding catering and in the main restaurant), bar prices reasonable. If you're planning an event you may overlook this hotel simply because it's placed in an industrial estate next to the motorway rather than out in the countryside, but you'd be making a mistake. The outdoor areas are green and pretty, the indoor hall is simply stunning (and the music sounds great!). It's firmly on our radar for our next family event or relaxing weekend away. Hospitality done right! (They can't cure hangovers, sorry Becky!, but if they could, I know they would!). We will be back soon.

Absolutely terrible customer service, absolutely no correspondence from the time of making a flexible booking to 6 months later when they just took money from my card with no pressure charge email or receipts. When followed this up with them again, very poor customer service and was told they don't send emails 🤯

Difficult to locate because the address is given as being in Wigan but worth the effort. All staff met, particularly in the restaurant, were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, well equipped and in very pleasant surroundings. The evening meal was memorable both in quality and quantity and breakfast also very good.
