Best Western The Alicia Hotel

Dirty Hotel, stains on bedding, mould under window, wallpaper peeling, broken kettle, dirty shower head, outside windowsill used as ash tray. No one on reception had to ring mobile number for access code. No one on reception at checkout

Avoid! We have stayed here over the years, but not for 3 years. What a decline! Didn't feel safe as you can't lock door from inside. Door code to room just scribbled on a piece of paper, initially didn't work for at least 3 rooms. Dirty -place not been properly cleaned for months, unsafe stair carpet, missing light bulbs, no hand sosp, scummy shower, friend ran a bath, which filled with rusty water!! People in next room had blocked toilet. Car park used to be locked, left open. Were told front door would be closed at 11pm, still open 11.30. No bar, no breakfast available (apparently you had to pre-book, but noone in the hotel had! Probably a wise decision!) Probably more that I've forgotten to mention!

Having stayed here a few times now, we would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay near to Sefton Park and Lark Lane. The hotel Manager, Hassan, is very accommodating and helpful. We were given a free upgrade to the Director Suite, which is a lovely room overlooking the park in a quiet part of the hotel.
