John Lennon Liverpool Airport is located across the road from Departures and Arrivals. Reception Checked in at the multipurpose Reception, bar and snack bar, were informed restaurant not available but feel free to order in food (this was disappointing as we had planned to dine at the Restaurant and had rang a few days prior to arriving to check restaurant was available). We didn’t find any decent options for ordering in and no suggestions were offered from staff, suggest either take along a picnic or jump on a bus from outside arrivals and departures into Liverpool City Centre. Room We asked for a room on a high floor, the room was large and comfortable, plenty of storage with a large comfy bed, but you could describe the room as slightly dated. But the room was exactly as it’s says on the tin. . Breakfast Reviews read Breakfast can be busy, on the Sunday morning we were there it was the opposite, not busy, very relaxed, plenty of tables to choose from. Breakfast options were plentiful, hot food available and staff were about to things topped up and clean. Final Thoughts Hotel ideal if flying from Liverpool airport, just across the road from Arrival and Departures, hotel was clean and tidy although our room was slightly tired, nothing else around apart from the airport. Following our experience I wouldn’t rely on the restaurant being available (Bring a picnic or Jump a bus from outside arrival and departures and head into Liverpool City Centre. Also if being dropped off at reception driver needs to get Car Park ticket authenticated by reception. WE WILL BE BACK (If flying from the airport only)

The biggest plus point is that it is right opposite the terminal. The rooms are big, the bed big and comfortable with decent quality bedding. Good quality towels; wifi worked well; staff were good. The downsides with the room were few: Housekeeping had failed to replenish the tea/coffee making necessaries so we had to go and seek them out. No bedside table on one side which was daft for a big room. The principal downside was with the restaurant. The fare was what I would describe as 'microwave food' and it was cold. I did not complain, but the server noted that little was eaten and asked me. She then suggested I should report it to the front desk. I did. They took the criticism sympathetically. Wine: If you are going to charge £34 for a bottle of sauvignon blanc make sure it is a decent quality. The only one on offer was 10.5% and therefore weak and watery. Next up was hardly better, a Pinot Grigio at 11% and also eye-wateringly expensive. Conclusion: Stay by all means, but (somehow) find somewhere else to eat and drink.

Nice hotel and friendly staff, well laid out and easy to get to from the airport. Would stay here again - was transiting so spent a few hours sleeping and didn’t see much else. Was happy enough and service was pretty good to be fair. Reccomend this place as an option
