Room: split in two and as pictures Pool: open 7am till 9.30 pm; warm showers; warm pool: sauna; steam; jacuzzi; nicely tiled Breakfast: spot on, all usual plus fresh porridge poached eggs on request Staff: friendly and helpful! Better than expected, pool was great for us & kids

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The bedroom windows did not open, the air con didn’t work properly, half of the lights didn’t work and the bathroom taps had been damaged (albeit they still worked). I booked it a year before when I was struggling to find a hotel for the Open golf and paid well over the odds for the state of the place, c.£450 for two nights. Very disappointing.

The hotel needs some serious upgrades , the smell around the floors and the rooms is bad. When we arrived the room was still dirty, the bedding had stains and hairs on it and the window and around it was full of ants and dead spiders and stains. We asked for clothes hangers for 3 days and still didn't get any, along with the room was cleaned for the 3 days either or towels change ect. The staff in the bar and breakfast were nice, The reception need serious guest relations training as they act like your disturbing them.
