Frederick House

Were can i begin. All i can say is the room was on the small side for the price we paid. The bed was uncomfortable and small and the pillows 3 were hard. My feet also hung over the end of the bed. My partner and i did not sleep well at all. There was no view and scaffolding outside our window. The TV was small and the ęroom was quite brightly lit with no subdued lighting to relax and watch TV. There was no bathroom plug and the carpet looked as if it needed a good clean. The bathroom extractor fan was noisy and took for ever to switch itself off. Not what we expected for the price for one nights stay. We never bothered with breakfast as we left early and ate elsewhere. My first time staying in Edinburgh. Would not recommend the hotel to others. Tired looking and owners showing a distinct lack of attention to detail.

I fell in love with this property, much better than expected. Super central, strategic location to reach all the places to visit in the city on foot. Perfect welcome, I arrived after 1:30 at night and was welcomed wonderfully. In the room I found shortbread always restocked as soon as I consumed them, a beverage warmer, coffee bags, chocolate and there was also a fridge, 24-hour Wi-Fi, and a closet with a fan, iron and ironing board, extra blankets and pillows, and a luggage rack inside. At check-out, I left my backpack so I wouldn't have to carry it around, and they were always kind and helpful. I will be back soon 🔝🥰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Booked this at the last minute due to family emergency, very central location just off princes street on tram line or airport bus, staff very friendly, room clean with tea/ coffee facilities, iron and hairdryer, no noise even though city centre location, breakfast if included is available in lovely restaurant across the road
