Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor

Date of travel: January 2022 I do miss this hotel, it's been just so great! Yes of course it was outdated and a bit strange with its maze-like corridors, but the breakfast was significantly better than what much better-rated posh hotels do. It's also extremely well located, just 3 minutes walk from Haymarket train+tram station and at least 20 bus lines. And on the top of all these, it's been very-very cheap! This hotel was like an old lady who's lost her fame, but is still shining. I am looking forward to see what the new building will be like.

DON’T BOOK WITH THEM NO NO.. It’s the worst place to spend your years money while visiting Edinburgh. We literally spent £1200/- and the room was big but not equipped with a functional kitchen. We literally ordered food for 3 days and they promised us a refund for our meals but which is still not with us now 7months. Poorly managed, shower kept leaking and foul smell of the old carpets in the room. Please spread the word and just hope others don’t fall pray to such evil people. They should be banned in Edinburgh.

while ordering food. Staff member was extremely cheeky then when lifting the plates he said we don't have to stay here if we didn't like the service.. bloody appalling... never be back. Pretty bad reflection on Edinburgh
