What an amazing stay we had at this small boutique style hotel. The owner Kevin and his fabulous employee Kelly treated us like we were VIPS. They provided concierge type services guiding us to best pubs, and most lovely walk into the city among many other recommendations. When we arrived by taxi i immediately realized I left my backpack in the taxi but the taxi was already out of sight. Kelly was super calm and called the company to make a report and told us to get settled in our room and relax and he felt sure our bag would be returned and IT WAS returned within a couple of hours. The breakfast was lovely, small bar at reception with cocktails and sodas which were so needed after walking 1000 steps daily! I cannot say enough kind words for this hotel and am so happy we were able to spend our last 4 nights being spoiled by this lovely hotel.

The hotel is perfectly placed to get into Edinburgh on the bus. The welcome from Kelly was superb, he was friendly and exceptionally helpful, he even moved his car to enable us to park outside. The room was very comfy and had everything we needed and a great view of the hill to Arthur’s seat. Kevin and co were very organised with breakfast, considering how busy they were in the mornings. Unfortunately we weren’t keen on a couple of the offerings, the sausages and the eggs Benedict (personal choice) however they were plenty of breakfast choices which was really great! Many thanks, we hope to return.

This hotel was wonderful. It was so nice to have a good breakfast to start our day with one of the best breakfasts we have had in our travels - cold or hot made to order - from a Scottish full breakfast, to eggs benedict to salmon with eggs on toast, porridge, fruits and pastries. It's conveniently located close to public transportation and within easy walking distance to some lovely restaurants. We enjoyed the peace, quiet and Victorian charm after a busy day out sightseeing. Kevin and Susan and their staff couldn't have been more welcoming, accommodating and helpful. We felt like we were coming home in the evening. Overall we found our stay excellent value , the property well maintained and the beds comfy. We highly recommend staying here and will do so again if in Edinburgh.
