I had been to this spot years ago when it was under a different ownership. What a change! Travelling solo visiting friends, this place was perfect. Suite lovely area of Edinburgh, amazing service, gorgeous food and drinks with lots of choice. Room was small but perfectly formed with real attention to detail. Boutique, but not pretentious in any way and really felt welcomed. Thank you All 💙

Clean and comfortable and the staff was wonderful and welcoming. They were all very personable and went out of their way to make sure everything was right for us. Only concern was the lack of an elevator if someone had mobility issues and had a room on an upper floor.

We spent absolutely wonderful days at the Black Ivy. The room was very spacious, lovingly and stylishly decorated with a wonderful view of the park and the beds extremely comfortable. Also the restaurant and bar are very nice and lovingly decorated, you immediately feel comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and the dinner also tasted very good The Black Ivy team has completely exceeded my wildest expectations. Rarely have I experienced such a friendly, competent, helpful and authentic staff in a hotel. We felt absolutely comfortable, well looked after and warmly welcomed throughout the stay.
