Malmaison Edinburgh

Booked an overnight stay at Malmaison Leith as it was my wife's 50th birthday & we were having dinner at a restaurant around the corner. The staff couldn't do more for me, they arranged for flowers to be put in our room plus they left a lovely birthday card and a voucher for 2 complimentary glasses of prosecco. We had a deluxe suite (room 419) which was lovely, couldn't have asked for better, had a great sleep. The only gripe is there were no toiletries only shower/bath get and shampoo. Breakfast was lovely until my wife found a black hair in her cinnamon French toast, which wasn't nice, the staff were very apologetic, it wouldn't put us off staying here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Malmaison in Leith, perfect location and good vibes. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful, and Deep in particular was just an absolute delight and made our stay very special!

My wife and I have been coming here for 20 years, and it never fails to deliver. Our last visit was no exception with everyone in the hotel from housekeeping to the GM focused on delivering a wonderful guest experience. Please don’t change the ‘formula’ guys as you have the perfect offering for guests! At checkout we were talking to a new receptionist who said he had joined the team because of its reputation. I gave him a fist bump, said he had made a great decision, and wished him luck with his new job! Leith itself is a great place to use as a base for staying to visit Edinburgh with its own food scene being quite epic. The tram system, which has a stop some 200m from the hotel, is always clean, very regular, and a cheap way to get around.
