Parliament House

Second time staying here - we loved it so much last time that we were keen to come back. Excellent value and fabulous location for a really special place. Met on arrival with a warm and friendly smile and given what felt like superstar treatment. We were shown to our room and blown away by how amazing it was - we were lucky enough to be given an unexpected free upgrade to the suite. It was absolutely stunning. Gorgeous and comfortable king size bed, copper free standing bath in the room, decadent decor and a very comfy seating area. Separate shower room as well. We loved it so much we didn't want to go out! Very peaceful and quiet and we had a great night's sleep. We decided to treat ourselves to breakfast to carry on the indulgent experience and it was very tasty with a good variety. Very friendly service from all staff throughout our stay. Lovely views from Calton Hill just next to the hotel, and just minutes from some very lovely bars in the other direction. Can't wait to come back! Thank you Parliament House.

We spent 4 nights at this terrific hotel and, though we were out exploring Edinburgh the majority of the day, we equally enjoyed our time in the hotel room. We were given an upgrade from our initial booking to room 8, which was spectacular and quite literally left us speechless when the staff member opened the door for us. The staff that we dealt with were all great and the price was quite affordable given the hotel's downtown location. The breakfast in the attached Bistro was quite good and very convenient. The staff in the Bistro was also very good and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as place to stay.

I had a wonderful stay. I arrived in Edinburgh at 9:00 AM and planned to drop off my bag at the hotel before going sightseeing. To my pleasant surprise, my room was already ready, so I was able to check in immediately. The room was located just one flight of stairs up and featured a beautiful large bed, a comfortable chair and desk, and a clean bathroom. I am a light sleeper and struggle with insomnia, but I slept incredibly well. I slept from 9:00 PM until 7:00 AM without hearing any noise at all. The hotel also has a very convenient location: right next to Calton Hill and Princes Street, and only a few minutes’ walk from the main train station. I was able to do all of my sightseeing on foot, including Edinburgh Castle.
