Copperfields Guest House

It's not posh, but then GY doesn't do posh. They need a carpenter to do something about the lavatory door which is difficult to close. But there is more to like than dislike. Best thing is the ample breakfast: since Covid B&B has increasingly transmuted into bed, with breakfast (if any) usually £10 extra which I decline in favour of the nearest Wetherspoon. The fridge in bedroom (9) was very welcome. I like the locks (maybe old fashioned but old fashioned is often better than modern) where you turn the key outside the room, making it impossible to lock yourself out. For me an ideal location, equidistant between the two best pubs, Blackfriars Tavern and Tombstone Brewery. Five minute walk to Market Gates bus station. Newsagent couple of minutes walk away in Nelson Road Central.

The place was very friendly, nearly to the beach and the shops, the food was great, the room was alright, the shower was great, the breakfast was great, nice to come and go when we want to........................👏👏👏👏👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏

What a fantastic retreat to stay at for a weekend. Ideally situated for buses and travel into the town or even further out to the broads. Roger’s the host is a Norwich boy, and has a fantastic knowledge of the area and also a great information corner for things to do come rain or shine . Rooms are clean and everything needed for a short break. We will definitely be going again.
