Best Western Orton Hall Hotel

The good. Nice grounds with a nice pub attached to the hotel. Breakfast is also good. The bad-Security, rooms are tucked around the back on the ground floor. Poor door security and flimsy window isn’t great for a vulnerable traveler. The ugly-Rooms need a deep clean and refit with furniture fit for guests.

The first day was brilliant, we took a small dog with us and Elaine on reception made up a breakfast table in the lounge for us. She also took our orders and our meals arrived under domes which was very nice. Later in the day we had sandwiches in the lounge area as well which was brilliant. Then overnight a person who is allergic to dogs arrived (in a so called pet friendly hotel) and the night porter decided that no dogs are allowed in the lounge area. the staff said they would make a breakfast table up for us outside (it was a cold morning). This totally ruined our stay we had to leave the hotel for our meals for the next 2 days. I am sure we were not the only ones affected by a bad decision

Situated in surrounding woodland. Beautiful walks through the woods. Staff were very friendly. Room was fresh and clean. King size Comfy bed, had a good nights sleep for our stay. Lovely stylish bathroom. We were fully catered for with tea coffee and hot chocolate drinks. Plenty of towels. Restaurant next door with great staff and quality food and comfy chairs to chill out.
