OAKLANDS HOTEL AND COURT

Further to my recent review I have been contacted about a voucher refund for my over charging.

Welcoming greeting. The rooms are a bit dated and could do with some modernising. We were a bit disappointed to only have one bath sheet in a room, that we had booked as a double. One other disappointment was. The hotel had 2 functions running. They really need to have staff to check the toilets on a regular basis. The ladies toilet ran out of soap, which I reported to the reception staff. The lady didn’t seem bothered & the soap was not replaced by anyone during the rest of the evening. On a hygiene basis, this was unsatisfactory.

I have to say that i was very very disappointed with our Christmas day £75 a head meal it was very late in being delivered to the table the main Christmas roast was very cold no puddings or stuffing and all be it the staff were very polite it was disorganised and felt like we were at a canteen we waited 30 minutes for our starters once seated at our table and another 20 mins for the main and no cocktail bar that was advertised on the website the list is never ending to be fare i didn't wait around for pudding because the pain of waiting for the first 2 courses just disappointed me and all i wanted to do was go home where i had better food in the fridge All i will say as personaly working in an industry myself of where you go above and beyond to keep the customer happy to continue a healthy buisness failed at every level on this occasion such a disappointment
