The Ingham Swan

Excellent food and service, very highly recommended. The Swan is in a great location just inland from the Norfolk coast. We had lunch, midweek, for our wedding anniversary and it was amazing. First thing we noticed was that it was very quiet, it may get busier evening and weekends but definitely had great atmosphere. We both chose from the a’la carte menu, I had lobster, my husband beef and both were delicious, the accompaniments on both dishes were lovely. We both had chocolate cremeux and cherry sorbet for dessert which was nothing short of a taste sensation. If you’ve not been then it’s definitely worth a visit, we’ll definitely be back.

We stayed the night and dined. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The negative part is when we checked out, We were charged room service fee. We were happy to pay service charge for the restaurant. The breakfast. Nicely done but frankly speaking It’s stingy. Ordinary tea and coffee are included but cappuccino etc, you have to pay extra. Further more, from main menu you can choose one, full English breakfast, salmon etc. Among them, Granola and Yogurt. It should be side menu included in the set menu. So I ended up having just yogurt without eggs. I could have had it if I pay extra.

You should be ashamed of yourselves. No country pub has any business serving food of such quality in a little hamlet like Ingham. I am a skinny fellow and do not generally eat that much but by God I polished off all three courses of the Lobster menu like a man who had just been introduced to flavour. I don't generally like milk based deserts, Panna cotta, Creme Brullee etc, but the desert the lobster menu came with included a raspberry panna cotta, so I got it thinking my wife might have room for it. She said, "have a try, you never know". TRY? I demolished that desert whilst my wife looked on open mouthed. Please keep the Ingham Swan a little known secret corner of Norfolk. We shall see you again later in the year.
