I have no words, just awful! I was so disappointed having checked into my room after a full day at work in 38 degree heat, to have walked into the room I was given and see the utter disgusting sham it was. I was in utter disbelief. I did nothing more than go to my car and cry! As a solo travelling business woman having these sorts of issues late in the day, no other rooms available and having to find another hotel to stay in at such shirt notice was just shocking.
The lady on reception was so lovely, I felt embarrassed for her having her check the room and see what I did staring back at her, through no fault of her own but being the representation of the hotel and having to be faced with this. She was so attentive, considerate and compassionate and couldn’t apologise any more for the issues encountered. It was however her last night working for this business but to note, given the circumstances she was an absolute credit to the business and although unable to offer a resolution, did everything she could to console.
This whole place needs completely rebuilding from the ground up, not only is it heavily dated (ancient), the work that needs to be carried out in order to make this place even remotely equipped for guests, is extensive beyond belief, let alone a look at the cleaners whom are being paid to do a job they clearly are not doing.
Broken and mouldy tiles, bath panels and dirty grout all over the bath/shower area.
Dirty floors throughout and carpet not even touched with a hoover.
Thick dust everywhere including the plug in fan which anyone would be too brave to turn on.
But for me.. dirty bed sheets and towels - stains all over them as well as hairs inside the bedsheets - just revolting!!
It was not safe to touch anything and to have sold this room out at over £120 per night is despicable.
The owners and chain “Best Western” should be ashamed!!!
WARNING TO ANYONE - DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

We returned to the hotel after two years. We come to the area to visit friends. We booked two rooms on a room only basis which was already expensive enough. We found the hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. However, that was the best part. The bedrooms were clean and tidy but very tired and worn with use. They're long overdue for an upgrade. The shower operated well but looked old. It served the purpose well though so appliances are clearly being maintained to a satisfactory level. Breakfast was £12 for continental and £16 for full English. We got a good breakfast at a local cafe round the corner for £9.
Unfortunately, we won't be returning to this hotel unless it goes under significant refurbishment.

Firstly the party we held on the 23rd May was excellent, food, staff, set up, DJ, and bar staff! Great atmosphere!
Accommodation in most guest rooms, either dirty showers, rim around the bath in Room 56, carpet in need of hoovering and twin beds with worn out mattresses! One guest had a spider in their bed! Very tired and dated . Meals only to be the 22nd very poor and offered a free sweet inplace place of meal!!
Apparently hotel are aware of problems! If so why are such rooms still let??
Won’t go back to stay and don’t recommend.
