BEST WESTERN DOWER HOUSE HOTEL

Went to Knaresborough on a Wednesday but gave up trying to find a parking place. The place, although lovely, was heaving. Decided to travel to Harrogate but were enticed to go in here by it's wonderful location and beautiful surroundings. Had lunch. Two tomato soups with sourdough bread as starters. Salad with belly pork and scampi and chips. Accompanied by a bottle of USA Merlot at less than £20 per bottle. All courses were presented well and tasty. .The premises are equally elegant indoors and the staff were pleasant and attentive.

Beautiful hotel much improved from our last visit when it was Dower house. All staff incredible, so pleasant, welcoming , kind and helpful. Thankyou all. Mo from housekeeping was very helpful on the morning we checked out.. It was an extremely hot day and night so our standard double room was roasting ! but that was no fault of the hotel. Would try a bigger room next time. All in all very enjoyable . Definitely returning . .

Excellent experience great location to discover Knaresborough and surrounding areas eg good bus journey to Harrogate.
