Crowne Plaza John Lennon Airport

Nice building, staff are great but it is need of an overhaul. No aircon rooms 25c+ overnight. No espresso based coffee at breakfast. Tired decor, worn out carpet.

It seems IHG are only interested in Voco or Indigo brands. So many holiday inn and CP brands are in desperate need of attention. Our stay was so poor. No air conditioning so barely slept. Two others were given keys to our room and just entered. Thankfully we were awake and dressed. Evening meal a shambles. Lacklustre restaurant and disjointed service. Cremated chicken skewers and bland chicken rice bowl.

This hotel is a grade 2 listed building, it should have been perfect. The air conditioning is broken everywhere except the ground floor. So they give you an upstairs room which is like an oven. The rooms are a good size and have everything you would need. However they are very dated and the bathroom is scruffy. Noone is on reception when you arrive and you get no information about the facilities in the hotel! Also it is not an airport hotel, it is in a retail park which is a long way from the airport!!
