Travelodge Liverpool Central The Strand

My friend and I had the good fortune to accidentally walk towards the Travelodge on the Strand in Liverpool.I was blown away as was my friend by the level of cleanliness style and the friendly stuff. We had a thoroughly good night sleep the shower and bathroom was immaculate and then went and had a well presented well cooked breakfast.We complimented the staff on site and they were delighted. I would not hesitate nor would my friend to go back to the same hotel well done Travelodge the Strand

I booked through Expedia and foolishly thought I had paid for a room. I was immediately informed through a series of emails that I would not have the room unless I paid additional charges that almost doubled the price. This was for linen. That's pricey linen. We said no thank you, give us our money back and were told there are no refunds. I was stuck with it. The deal they have with Expedia needs to be worked out because I had paid for a room. I would have brought my own linen to make a point but they will not release a key without the payment so you haven't actually booked a room. You have just paid Expedia for access to The Strands horrible customer service. They also require a dizzying quantity of personal information for you to stay there. I have never seen anything like it. Again, you can't have the room without sending the information on so you are stuck at every point in the process with deciding if it's time to cut your losses and book a holiday in or keep going. They should not be allowed to trade in this way and kept blaming the booking site. They know what's happening and are responsible for it.

I arrived to find room not cleaned, bin overflowing, dirty everywhere, beds slept in. Rang to complain and they said they would send a cleaner over which is fine but she didn't arrive until after 9 PM (since I'd had a nightmare journey and arrived at 8PM) and I said that surely if I can't use the room until after 10 or 11 PM then I should have tonight refunded. The lady I spoke to said "if you think we're going to just give back the money from our business, well I'm just not going to do that." I said that it isn't a great way to treat customers and bad reviews are not going to help the business but she was having none of it. Just thought it was worth a mention - Good Luck!
