Clifton Bridge Guesthouse

First impressions from parking, before even going inside the place screamed Clean and cared for. Arthur came out to welcomed us and double checked the type of room we'd booked. He carried our case up to the room which was a nice touch. The solid stairs resulted in no sound of anyone going up and down to rooms. The twin room was lovely as was the shower room, which had a large shower. The power of the water felt like getting a Massage. The beds were very comfy and everywhere was clean and fresh. The only downside was the breakfast. Get yourself down at 8 (breakfast between 8 & 9) as I think Arthur does everything himself and breakfast is precooked. Good choice of non cooked breakfast, except rice krispies, my favourite. Limited parking on site but we found space each time we returned.

We booked last minute and stopped overnight whilst travelling home from Durham, to visit the christmas market. Hotel was within walking distance of city centre. Parking on site Rooms were clean, cosy and warm. Bathroom clean with lots of towels and toiletries. Breakfast was freshly cooked, with lots of choice. Hospitality was 💯 It was a little hidden Gem. We would defiantly stay again if we were to visit York.
