Premier Inn York North West

Very tired facility , room urgently needs refurb . Bathroom grout mouldy , soap dispensers grimy - not been cleaned for awhile . Radiator /towel rail very rusty . Waited 1hour 10mins for evening meal , when it came both meals were luke warm at best - complained and meals were voided ! It seems staff levels kept to the very minimum. Good location for York and the Park and Ride excellent . Premier Inn parking good. Perhaps the Whitbread CEO and Operations Exec team would like to stay at this venue and see how poor their offering is !

After using Premier inns over the years, sadly I was very disappointed with this hotel.. I travelled from Hampshire only to find the EV chargers had been disconnected.. This hotel is advertised to have two working EV points.. Neither of them were connected and hadn’t been for sometime. As requested, our used towels were left in the shower to indicate we’d like fresh towels.. When we went back to our room our used towels were still in the same place, without fresh ones in sight.. we then had to go and collect them from reception… We found breakfast very disorganised.. There weren’t any napkins in sight and limited clean tea spoons near the drinks machine in the dining area.. it wasn’t as though breakfast was exceptionally busy. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the room was not up to usual standards.. The bathroom looked outdated and the curtains weren’t particularly clean & our tea & coffee hadn’t been replenished over the 3 nights we stayed

On Arrival outside bins were overflowing and bags of discarded beer bottles all over the floor and tables. Terrible service, Had booked breakfast. When we went to breakfast unable to have any cereal as no milk and was told we would have to wait 2 hours for milk to be delivered as they had run out so decided on toast no bread available had to ask for bread then no plates so again had to ask for plates, dirty sides by toaster hadn’t been wiped. Off to tea station no cups again had to ask for cups tea station was dirty spilled teas and sugar everywhere , cooked breakfast was ok but again food was spilled everywhere. Nobody to clean tables they all had discarded plates food on them. This restaurant was disappointing and dirty would never eat at this restaurant again. The room was ok but the shower wouldn’t turn off took a lot of fiddling to finally get it to turn off. No one at reception to speak to . Horrible place would never stay again
