Step out of the reception and you will see the cathedral down the street. That tells you it’s centrally located to Minster. But almost everything else also checks the boxes — spacious comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast. Quite reasonably priced for the area. You can get a fan at reception which really helps. Internet can be weak depending on the room. We would definitely book this hotel again, however.

Just returned home from our 6th stay at this lovely hotel. The staff are always very friendly, and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great with plenty of choice and always cooked to order. All the staff are super. We will return .

The Hotel is situated in the Bootham area of York, so close to the Minster, which greets you as you leave the hotel on the way into the city. The hotel experience was great and the hotel has free parking if you book direct, a big bonus. The staff are friendly from Gemma who greets you in reception to the cleaning staff who do s brilliant job with the rooms and other areas. The breakfast was great with a range of options and should not be rushed, an experience in itself and when you done York to death or its getting late a small bar is available. We will be back again, again.
