The Parsonage Hotel & Spa

Excellent hotel and spa the staff the food and the spa all great. Especially the staff from the warm welcome we received when we arrived to when we left they couldn’t do enough for us. We’ve already booked our next stay and looking forward to it 😊.

Our first visit to The Parsonage hotel and spa. We were not disappointed . Every sector of this hotel from Reception , Breakfast room , The Fat Abbot Restaurant, seimming pool and Spa were all excellent . Our room was very comfortable with all the amenities one would expect of a hotel of this calibre. The staff in every are were outstanding , not only in their caring and courtesy but their individuality shone through. We felt , from the moment we arrived that we were home . Mixing with other guests , it was very clear that this hotel was somewhere to which people were keen to return , as will we. We have just booked our next of many return visits . This is a review of two halves..first the positives..we booked to stay overnight en route from the north of Scotland to the south coast of England..The Spa was outstanding and the food and service at The Fat Abbot was good..my wife had the Hake which was really nice. Big shout out to Harry, our waiter, who was brilliant. In fact all the staff were really lovely. But…. We were in room 36 which seemed fine..until bedtime when we noticed a sound like a motor starting every ten minutes..for two minute duration..for the whole night!! ..needless to say we didn't get much sleep and left for a long drive feeling tired and jaded. We noticed on departure a room under ours which looked like a boiler room..hence the noise. The room shouldn't be let out to paying guests if there is this kind of disruption. Really disappointing second half of stay…so if you book..avoid room 36!!
