Booked a table. Always worth doing as is very popular with locals and visitors to the area. Food tasty and value for money. Shame the meat pie was not an individual one rather than a slice from a larger one. Otherwise all good

we were staying close by and booked dinner here, glad we did, a lovely welcome, all the staff were amazing, as was the food, good honest pub food, done well, huge portions, the steak was spot on and cooked to perfection, good drinks range too. Sadly not our usual places we visit, or even close, so I fear it will be a one off trip, but highly recommended

We booked just a couple of hours before arrival for a Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. Friendly welcome, pleasant staff and prompt service of a lovely main course of roast lamb served with plenty of veg. The lamb was a bit fatty but once that was removed the meat was tender and tasty. The atmosphere in the front rooms of the inn was very pleasant and its location unbeatable.
