The Worlds End

Stayed here as attending a family wedding nearby. After reading the reviews we were really worried about our forthcoming trip but needn’t have worried at all. This is such a lovely place. The rooms were very nice, everything you needed. Very clean, comfortable bed, coffee/tea making facilities in room, hairdryer and they can get you iron and ironing board if you need it. We was in room 5 ground floor facing the car park. This was a very peaceful room and we had the sun on our side most of the day , making this a lovely light and warm room. Housekeeping every day regardless how many nights you are staying for. The food in the restaurant was gorgeous , such a lovely menu, generous size portions and very reasonably priced. There is a lovely bar area gained by steps so not great for disabled but a lovely garden and play area for the children. Most of all we were very grateful for the amazing staff there. They work really hard and are very friendly and attentive. A big shout out for Stacey! She worked in the bar and the Restaurant and reception. She was so very helpful and went out of her way to make sure things were ok. She seemed to work really hard multitasking at times. So wonderful friendly. She truly is an asset to this establishment ! All staff were friendly though. My only disappointment was the bar closed early so when we returned from our wedding at around 10.30pm the bar was closed to our disappointment. All in all a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this place.

I stay in this area weekly for business, but I will never step foot in this hotel again. My last two stays were a complete nightmare. HYGIENE: During my first stay (Room 19), I found fresh blood stains on the bedding. This is a gross violation of basic standards and a clear health hazard. EQUIPMENT FAILURE: In my second stay (Room 2), the heating was stuck at maximum. The floor was burning hot and the room felt like a sauna. I had to sleep with windows wide open in February just to breathe. NO WI-FI: Despite being a business traveller, the Wi-Fi was non-functional for the duration of my stay, making it impossible to work. MANAGEMENT: While the night staff acknowledged the heating fault and moved me to another room, the manager (Chris) later told Agoda he "disagreed" with my complaint. This level of dishonesty is unacceptable. BILLING: There is also a discrepancy between the Agoda charge (£53) and the hotel’s VAT invoice (£44), which I am currently investigating. If you value your health, your sleep, and your ability to work, stay elsewhere. This property is poorly maintained and poorly managed.

1-night stay for work. Pleasant staff, nice room (room 10) comfortable bed, good ensuite (shower over bath), TV and wifi good. I paid extra for my breakfast, chose the cooked breakfast which was great and hot. Car park was free.
