Travelodge Nottingham Central

Avoid ....Arrived at 1 knowing check in was at 3 but asked if the room was ready. It was but as it wasnt 3pm we would have to pay £20 early book in fee. we declined. Claims to have a bar... the only Draught beer was Guiness which was from a can!! 2 Gin and oranges cost £27.00 . The lifts felt unsafe and were very slow. The room layout was awfull , the TV was on a table to the left of the bed which meant that you couldnt watch it when laid in bed. There were no plug sockets next to the bed. The toilet was wedged between the wall and the sink which made it incredibly difficult to use. Staff showed no interest at all.

When I arrived the person on reception was disinterested and dismissive. Before I left the room cleaning staff were banging on my door at 11.45 demanding to be let in . This hotel has staff training/management problems The hotel says it has a bar. It's only draught beer is Guinness, that doesn't constitute a 'bar'. There are no phone charger points bedside, nor even bedside sockets that I could plug my own charger into. I am a Travelodge regular and this is the worst one I've stayed in. It's only saving grace is its location.

Really nice don't take the negative reviews too serious! I read some and was really worried almost cancelled! Glad we didn't! The room was clean and comfortable! We stayed on the 9th floor the view was amazing! The lift takes under a minute to get to the top! It felt very secure and the bar area was nice and clean! The staff were amazing we stayed on the hottest night of the year sadly no air con! But the staff gave us unlimited ice and water! Fan in the room and only sheets on the bed no quilts way too hot for quilts! Great location breakfast was nice not a huge selection but it's not a huge restaurant. We have already booked our next stay and look forward to it!
