We celebrated my mother’s 80 birthday with afternoon tea last week. So impressed with how smoothly our celebration went! The food was delicious and served beautifully and the staff were attentive, nothing was too much trouble. This included the lovely receptionist, the two gentlemen serving us and the chef. The liaison and organisation with Felicity was warm and efficient. We were welcomed and looked after. The room was set up beautifully; it was lovely to have the additional sitting room which opened onto the patio and lawn. We would have been happy to stay longer sitting in the garden, drinking and eating cake. Thank you!

If you are looking for a venue for a gathering with private rooms, access to a terrace and beautiful grounds to walk in, look no further than Sudbury House Hotel, Faringdon. We hired the old restaurant room for 14 people with private access to the lounge and terrace. The buffet lunch was beautifully presented and faultless and the service quiet, efficient and professional without being intrusive . Tea and coffee flowed with the option to use the bar if needed. The grounds provided the space and opportunity for children to use up some energy and our kind waiter even sourced an ice lolly when requested - thank you! The addition of the Bluetooth speaker also meant we could pick and choose playlists that suited us. A really lovely venue with thoughtful and professional staff and service ensures the day went smoothly and happy memories were made - thank you!
