Mercure Eastgate

an awful room, horrendously hot. windows didn't open more than a crack - please never stay in this hotel, it's beyond awful, as any other reviews that you will read since the weather warmed up will confirm.

We stayed at the Eastgate for four nights this past July. The lack of air conditioning and the booking on the third floor made for a very, poor experience. Even with two fans blowing in the room, the temperature at night was about 80 Fahrenheit. In addition, the room was very small and the furnishings were worn. The location in Oxford is the only thing going for this hotel.
