Athena Guest House

Any review less than 3 stars are totally unfair after 2026. Obviously much has changed since all the awful reviews. You pay for what you get and anywhere in Oxford for BH weekend will be price dependant so manage your expectations, if you are on a budget then stay here but dont except 5 stars. The room and bedding was clean. There was a fridge for drinks and a fan. Kettle worked and it was free tea and coffee. It is a short walk of 15 mins into town. On site parking available. Receptionist friendly and helpful. Bathroom clean and acceptable. We will return. Thank you.

Pics of the dog he has locked in back garden ,Do not stay here , jack the Chinese owner has a dog locked in the back garden , when my girlfriend stayed there we saw lucky out the window , after speaking to jack I found out he doesn't walk and rarely feeds him and if he does it is a takeaway, so I offered to walk the dog which I have been for the last 2 weeks, the dog has sores all over him from lying down on concrete, I feed him proper food ect, I have tried convincing him to give up the dog but the cheeky man asked me for a 1000 pounds , he doesn't look after this dog and the dog is suffering,, picture have been supplied, RSPCA won't take him unless he hands him over, can someone help ??

This guesthouse is absolutely TERRIBLE! It had cockroaches in our room and a woman in the next door room had male visitors all night! And the cleaner was, with, guests who were vulnerable. As they were staying there as temporary accommodation for homelessness. Take my advice and DO NOT stay there...
