A very good hotel in a quiet neighborhood location. Its close to Oxford city bus stops and easy to catch Uber or Royal Cabs anywhere you want to go. It's really not that far from walking downtown (~20 min). We had a family room with 2 double beds which was get for the 2 of us. The room was quiet and the fan they provided was excellent for just having some white noise and moving air around. The water pressure was tremendous and hot water was in good supply! The breakfast was awesome and I'd highly recommend it. The prices were reasonable compared to others in the area considering it was high season when we visited.

I've stayed at this hotel several times over several years. Unfortunately, I've not seen any refreshing done - the hallways are getting quite dirty and worn. The location is great, with (paid) parking. The hot breakfast was reasonable, although the ingredients rather cheap (tinned fruit pieces, boiled mushrooms). On this trip (July 2026), I was given a ground floor room with an unusual layout, and a smaller than typical shower (square). Previous rooms have had a rectangular shower, albeit with the toilet so close to the shower screen that you are afraid of shattering it with your knees. There was extensive water damage to the skirting (base) board and door trim. The carpet also looked darker adjacent to this damage. There is no air conditioning. I wasn't asked how my stay was when I checked-out. I paid a premium price for a last minute booking, but got given a shoddy room.

Good location walking distance to Oxford centre. Nice welcoming staff. Rooms and property overall were dated, tiny cramped bathroom where sitting on the toilet meant your knees were wedged against the bath panel. No fridge in the room, tea and coffee offerings basic. Very much more ‘budget hotel’ but at a premium price.
