My partner and I stayed for one night, mainly because of the spa, and overall we had a pleasant stay. The spa was brilliant. The sauna, steam room, pool and jacuzzi were lovely, clean and well maintained. We were also lucky that there were hardly any other people there, which made it a very relaxing experience. Unfortunately, one female member of staff in the spa was showing social media videos to another guest at full volume. We found this quite rude and distracting, as we were there to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The food was good overall. The steak pie was tasty, and the linguine was also nice. However, we were disappointed with the fried calamari @ £8.50, they appeared to be frozen calamari straight from a bag, which wasn't what we expected. The room was nice, and the bathroom and shower were very good, with excellent water pressure. However, the room was quite small and, unfortunately, extremely hot, even with the windows open, so we didn't sleep particularly well. The hairdryer didn't work properly, so I would recommend bringing your own. On the positive side, we were given robes and slippers, as well as a little chocolate and a voucher for a drink, which was a lovely touch. The staff were friendly and professional, and we had no complaints. A special mention to Louis at reception, who was particularly helpful and professional. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, especially the spa. There were a few things that could be improved, but we appreciated the thoughtful little extras and the friendly service.

Staff lovely and helpful.Food good with large portions. Our room was very warm and had to open the windows. In the area for breakfast there was only one coffee machine and was always a queu, could do with providing another machine.Hotel was in a very good central location.

Great location with few shops, bars, restaurants local people are friendly. Hotel is has a nice reception area, lounge and bar area. Restaurant for breakfast looked nice and spacious althoughi didn't dine there. The pool, sauna, steam room are lovely and modern. The staff are nice and friendly. Only let down is the room, the corridors to get to the rooms are extremely hot and the single room itself was very hot. There was fan in the cupboard I didn't use this. I just kept both windows open all day and night. The room had a very bad smell of stale curry and although the bedding was clean I could smell a stale odour of a man. I had to spray the bed with my perfume and body spray. The bed was hard and lumpy along with the pillows. The bathroom had mould and dirt around the seals in bath and tiles. The bath was very dirty around the plughole. And I nearly scalded myself with the hot water from the shower. I wore my flip flops in the shower due to unclean bath. And wore them in the room due to dirty carpet. There was no WiFi in my room. I could only get a connection in bar area. The staff are nice and friendly the rooms just need an upgrade and cleaned better.
