Kinloch House Hotel

A hotel away from it all in the Scottish countryside. The rooms are large, but lack air conditioning. The staff was helpful in providing fans and changing out the duvet covers. Paul was an amazing manager/host, and elevated the experience with his top-notch service and never-ending wit.

What a relaxing and welcoming place to stay. We spent 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and country charm. The grounds are beautiful and the 2 Highland coos, Jack and Victor, were a highlight. The rooms are large and there are plenty of places to gather and socialize. The food and service are excellent. All of this is made possible by Paul. He is a fantastic host and makes sure you are catered to. He is attentive, funny and does everything possible to make you feel at home. This level of service is also evident in the wait staff. Highly recommend a stay here. While the hotel is lovely and comfortable, the common rooms are older and could use some update and repair.

On our return to this hotel after a few years, we were pleased to see that nothing had changed. That is good! This quiet country house hotel, situated on a country road between Dunkeld and Blairgowrie, has character, large bedrooms, many beautiful public rooms and welcoming staff - a special mention for Paul who seemed to do so many jobs very efficiently and with a smile. There are expensive curtains and furnishings throughout and everything is spotless. The open fire in the grand entrance hall would be very welcoming in winter. The hotel is suitable for guests who are prepared to pay to relax in old-fashioned refined comfort - do not expect a spa, gym or treatment room. Accommodation, food and wine are not cheap. Guests may ask for the 12.5% service charge on food and wine to be removed, but all of the service charge goes to the excellent staff. If I could suggest to the owners one thing to improve guests' enjoyment, it would be to provide in bedrooms a kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits. Even if you don't do that, we will be back.
