A beautiful hotel with a good restaurant and friendly service, efficiently run. We had a room in the annexe (a Cosy room) which was well-described, it was definitely cosy. Not much space to put things down on, for instance the bedside tables were mostly taken up with huge lamps. It was very quiet and we slept well. The only disappointing thing was the basin and tap in the bathroom. This was a weird design with a strange lever for a tap control. We found it very difficult to get hot water and the basin was so shallow, and the overflow set so low that it was hard to get a proper wash and my husband gave up wet shaving. Please change it! Apart from that, I fully recommend this hotel.

Had a group who wanted to meet regularly on a Monday evening. Initially very welcoming and pleasant however they then told us we weren’t spending enough money so we needed to find another venue, despite there being no one else at the venue on the Monday night. Very disappointing and disingenuous!

We booked a deluxe room & it certainly was top quality : roomy & beautifully decorated. Food was delicious both in the evening & at breakfast. We were warmly greeted by Eileen but all the staff we encountered were friendly & helpful.
