I very rarely take the time to leave reviews, but on this occasion I felt it was absolutely deserved. I wanted to give a special mention to Roberto, who went above and beyond during my stay. I found myself in a rather personal and delicate situation, and Roberto handled everything with incredible professionalism, discretion and genuine kindness. He was extremely understanding and accommodating, making what could have been Nothing seemed too much trouble, and he went out of his way to help me resolve the situation. It's rare to come across someone who demonstrates this level of care and attention, and I genuinely appreciated everything he did. Roberto is an absolute credit to the hotel and its team. His exceptional customer service is the very reason I'm writing this review, and I hope the management recognises what an asset they have in him. Thank you again, Roberto. Your kindness and assistance made a real difference, and certainly didn't go unnoticed!

We visited for lunch after seeing it classed as a Gastro pub. We ordered chicken supreme which turned out to be a butterfly chicken breast dry and hard which I couldn’t eat. It came with veg and a runny tasteless gravy. When the girl took my plate of uneaten food and asked was everything ok I said no it’s dry hard and tasteless to be honest. Her answer “perhaps it needs more gravy” So we paid a lot to leave disappointed and having only eaten a starter and our complaint was ignored

Rang in to book and was told no tables until 2. Instead, booked online for 12:30 and was quiet. Very surprised why the manager told us no. Tasty and Good portion for Sunday lunch. Needed a bit more gravy and Yorkshire too big and tasteless. Served very quickly. Crackling was v good.
