Llwynygog Guest House

Easy to find comfortable stay. lots of different places to eat, we at at an Asian restaurant, a little pricey but good. From the Guest House to the promenade and beach is about 7-8 min walk and great views of sunset (faces west) and there are ruins at one end and WWI memorial, including some standing stones and beyond (southwards) more beach. Also a church. Along the promenade there are places to buy food and drinks. We found everyone friendly and generally in a good mood. We enjoyed our stay. PS no breakfast served at the Guest House but lots of places near by and the staff were really friendly.

Totally grim. So incredibly disappointed, room was dated and not clean. Pretty convinced the bedding wasn’t fresh, bathroom not cleaned regularly. No hospitality because it’s all self check-in /checkout.

If I could give this property zero stars, I would. We checked in and were shocked by the condition of the accommodation. It was nowhere near the standard we expected and was not somewhere I was prepared to let my child stay. The room appeared extremely dirty. We found hairs in the bed, marks on the bedding, dog hair, cobwebs, dirty walls, dusty surfaces, and visible mould and grime around the skirting boards and radiator. The shelves were also loose and appeared to be coming away from the wall. The room had an unpleasant smell, which only added to our concerns. I took photographs of everything because I couldn’t believe the condition of the property. When I raised these issues with the owner, Louise, instead of addressing our concerns, we were asked to leave. We had already decided we couldn’t stay due to the cleanliness and hygiene issues. To make matters worse, Louise told us we would only receive a refund if we agreed not to leave a bad review. I don’t believe that’s appropriate. This isn’t a “bad review” for the sake of it—it’s an honest account of our experience. This is genuinely the dirtiest accommodation I have ever seen, and unfortunately I cannot recommend it to anyone, especially families with children. Host is insistent it was clean but the images do not lie
