Quality/price ratio, bad. Few employees and little sympathy. I do not recommend.

We were a group of 8 persons - booked 4 rooms. This was the most expensive hotel on our recent driving tour of Scotland & by far the worst. The rooms were small, quite scruffy & hot. Again the bathroom & toilet was not even to a basic size or standard. Could not get a decent night's sleep because the paper-thin walls & the noise from the street etc was constant. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the room lacked basic amenities. Corridor extremely narrow even for one person to walk through . If you pay about £250 + per night you would expect a decent stay. It was like staying in a pre fabricated/portacabin sort of place. View from the window was a moss covered roof top. Very few other places to stay so we felt that we were ripped off. Breakfast was just about ok & staff polite. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you are seeking a value for money stay. Not worth the money at all. Utterly disappointing.

Have been to the Kyle Hotel a number of times and its one of the few places in Kyle that doubles as a pub of sorts. Food menu is not extensive and I have to say we experienced an issue with a couple of the items. When you select tje chicken curry this is really a vegetable curry with a piece of chicken added to the meal...its not really a proper chicken curry. The other issue was I tried to order the chicken meal with skin on chips instead of mash...bar staff wouldn't take the order even though this alternative of mash or fries is offered on other meals in the menu! Wasn't really happy about the lack of flexibility for what was a simple ask that is already on the menu for other dishes...Will think again about where to eat on future visits!
