Comfortable and quiet cottage. We stayed in Parsnip Place. It's an ideal location for visiting Rutland Water, Oakham, Uppingham, Stamford and Burghley House (and more). It's only about 15 minutes walk to the Horse & Jockey in Manton which is worth a visit for food and drink.

We hired all 5 cottages for a family get together. Having the garden at Carrot Cottage meant we had the perfect base for all being together. The children were able to go easily between all the cottages and it felt really safe. Some lovely walks direct from the cottages, which our dog loved. Ive got to say though, what stood out the most was Sally's hospitality. She was so friendly and we felt really welcome wandering around, even if our dog did have a tendency to explore a bit further than he should! Thank you for the birthday cake candles Sally! Rutland aqua Park was super fun and I highly recommend Gates Farm shop if you're having a bbq - 20 mins but so worth it!

Enjoyed our stay at Broccoli Bottom for Birdfair 2026. We stayed in 3 cottages - Sally provides excellent service and we always have everything we need in this well appointed and perfectly located accommodation. Looking forward to our visit next year.
